We are on an oil-free diet. I simply wet each side of uncut thincredibles with water and put them in our toaster oven, toasting them for 3-5 minutes.
They actually crisp up like a fried-in-oil tortilla--super tender/crispy (not tough). Be careful to cook them until almost brown. Watch them carefully or they burn quickly once starting to crisp-up.
I brush with a little oil and bake these in an oven at about 400 degrees for 10 -15 minutes. A stainless steel baking rack set upside down over the tortillas keeps them flat.
So much better than the tasteless tostada shells you buy at the store!
For health I've started a low salt diet. I searched for an alternative to the corn tortillas I love so much and was thrilled to find these Organic Thincredibles corn tortillas. Now I'm able to wrap all my favorite lean meats, cheese and veggies. They taste great, and now I have the extra packs in the freezer for when I need them. The price is reasonable and they came quickly. A real winner.
